01EDC · No.12 PC SHELL
The No.12 PC Shell
A shatterproof jelly in candy colors — light enough to forget it's there.
High Toughness · Featherweight · Jelly Translucency · Five Colorways
It fears no drops, no knocks, no years of pocket carry.
It minds exactly one thing — don't scratch it against sharp, hard objects.
Ceramic is hard but brittle; this one is like jelly — tough and featherlight — the most drop-proof shell material there is.
01 · ABOUT No.12
No.12 — the classic frame
The No.12 is one of the longest-serving classic shells in the 01EDC lineup: a track-shaped rounded rectangle with a recessed center panel and softly stepped edges — the debossed 01EDC mark tucked into one corner, catching the light at an angle.
Every 01EDC slider is built as a two-piece system: core + shell. The core defines how it feels; the shell defines how it looks and sits in hand. Swap shells without swapping cores — keep the feel you love, change the color you crave.
For many players, the first 01EDC they ever held was a No.12 PC shell. And this one is the PC jelly edition of No.12: the same classic frame, dressed in a coat of candy-colored jelly. This listing includes the shell only — no core. Pair it with any 01EDC series core, sold separately.
02 · THE NATURE OF PC
Four qualities, one material
Tough
Polycarbonate (PC) is the engineering plastic famed for impact resistance — the same material family as bulletproof glass, riot shields and aircraft windows. Everyday drops and knocks: no cracks, no chipped edges.
Light
Density around 1.20 g/cm³ — one-fifth that of zirconia ceramic, less than half of aluminum. Slip it in a pocket and you'll barely know it's there.
Lucid
Polished semi-translucent jelly: light passes through from behind, and the color comes alive. Beneath it, the core's mechanical structure is faintly in view.
Vivid
Candy-colored injection molding, clear and saturated: green like mint soda, blue like Klein, pink like cherry-blossom jelly, orange like sunset fizz — plus one crystal-clear with nothing added.
03 · DATA
How tough is it?
Notched Izod impact strength of common shell materials (higher = more drop-resistant, kJ/m²):
In other words: ceramic fears drops. PC doesn't.

04 · SOFT SIDE
The soft side — please read before ordering
PC is a tough-but-soft material: it won't crack from drops, but its surface hardness sits below metal and ceramic — roughly Mohs 3, versus ~5.5 for stainless steel and ~8.5 for zirconia ceramic.
In plain words: it fears no drops, but it can be scratched. Long-term rubbing against keys, grit or other sharp hard objects in the same pocket may leave fine marks on the surface.
The good news: jelly colors are translucent — fine scratches stay subtle in the light, unlike dark glossy finishes that magnify them. But physics is physics: treat it gently, like everything else you love.
·Avoid long-term pocket-sharing with keys, tools and other sharp metal items
·Clean with a slightly damp soft cloth and dry; never scrub with rough paper towels
·Normal fidget play is completely fine — pushing, sliding and magnetic action are all safe for daily use
·Keep away from acetone and strong solvents, and from prolonged heat (e.g. a hot car)
·Adult stress-relief product; not suitable for children
05 · COLORWAYS
Five colorways
Five jelly colors, five personalities — all molded straight into the material.
Jelly Green GREEN
Emerald jelly that reads like mint soda under light. Clear, bright and cool — the most refreshing of the five.
Coral CORAL
A warm orange between coral and sunset — lively without shouting. A spot of brightness against dark outfits.
Crystal Clear CRYSTAL
No color added — pure transparency. The core's structure and every push on full display; the gear-head's pick.
Jelly Pink PINK
Semi-translucent cherry-blossom jelly — soft and glowy. Low saturation, high sweetness; a gummy candy for your pocket.
Jelly Blue BLUE
A saturated gem blue with depth behind the translucency. Cool-toned, calm and endlessly wearable.

07 · FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the PC shell really drop-proof?
Yes. PC is the engineering plastic famed for impact resistance — the same material family as bulletproof glass and riot shields, roughly 250 times more impact-resistant than ordinary glass. Desk-height drops and pocket knocks leave it uncracked and unchipped — its biggest difference from ceramic shells.
PC, ceramic or metal — which shell should I choose?
PC is light, drop-proof and vivid — great for everyday rough carry and beginners. Ceramic offers lasting gloss and a warm touch, for refined play. Metal brings heft and ruggedness. In one line: pick PC if you fear drops, ceramic if you fear fading.
Does it work with other 01EDC cores?
Yes. 01EDC sliders use a two-piece core + shell design, and cores across the series are interchangeable. Please note: this listing includes the shell only — a core must be purchased separately.
Does it scratch easily? How do I clean it?
PC's surface hardness is below metal and ceramic, so long-term rubbing against keys or grit may leave fine marks — though the translucent jelly colors keep them subtle. Wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth and dry; no polish needed.
Ceramic fears drops. Metal fears nothing but weight.
This jelly only fears being left at home.
