01EDC · No.7 CERAMIC SHELL
The No.7 Ceramic Shell
Harder than steel, warm as jade — a daily carry that never fades.
High Hardness · Scratch-Resistant · Everlasting Color · Handle With Care
It fears no keys, no coins, no years of pocket carry.
It fears exactly one thing — a hard drop.
So remember this before ordering: it is as hard as jade — and like jade, it deserves to be treated with care.
01 · ABOUT No.7
No.7 — the most-loved frame
The No.7 is the most popular of the dozens of shells 01EDC has released: a rounded rectangle with deeply curved corners and a recessed channel across its face. The moment your thumb settles into that concave surface, you understand why.
Every 01EDC slider is built as a two-piece system: core + shell. The core defines how it feels; the shell defines how it looks and sits in hand. Swap shells without swapping cores — keep the feel you love, change the color you crave.
And this one is the ceramic edition of No.7: the same beloved frame, dressed in a coat of polished jade. This listing includes the shell only — no core. Pair it with any 01EDC series core, sold separately.
02 · THE NATURE OF CERAMIC
Four qualities, one material
Hard HARD
Around 8–8.5 on the Mohs scale — harder than stainless steel and titanium, closing in on sapphire glass. Keys, coins and pocket grit struggle to leave a mark in daily carry.
Warm SMOOTH
Polished ceramic feels like jade to the touch. It conducts less heat than metal — never icy in winter, never sticky in summer — and its dense, non-porous surface stays dry through hours of play.
Lasting LASTING
The color is fired into the body — no plating, no anodizing. Peeling, fading and oxidizing simply don't happen here. White stays white, orange stays orange, all the way through.
Solid SOLID
Denser than aluminum, it carries a satisfying heft in hand — one that steadies the rhythm of every push.
03 · DATA
How hard is it?
Mohs hardness of common shell materials (higher = more scratch-resistant):
In other words: the gloss you see on day one is the gloss you'll see years from now.
* Typical engineering reference values; specific grades and processes may vary.
04 · HANDLE WITH CARE
Brittleness — please read before ordering
Ceramic is a hard-but-brittle material: in fracture toughness — the measure of impact resistance — zirconia ceramic sits at roughly one-tenth of stainless steel.
In plain words: it doesn't fear scratches, but it fears drops. A fall from desk height onto concrete or tile, or a hard knock against another object, can chip, crack or even shatter the shell.
This is a physical property of ceramic, not a manufacturing defect — jade breaks too, and no one calls jade inferior. Please make peace with this before you order.
·Avoid drops and hard impacts, especially onto concrete or tiled floors
·Store separately from keys, tools and other metal items — never share a pocket
·Normal fidget play is completely fine — pushing, sliding and magnetic action are all safe for daily use
·Adult stress-relief product; not suitable for children
05 · COLORWAYS
Four colorways
Four glazes, four personalities — each fired into the body.
Amber AMBER
A high-saturation warm orange that glows like honey under light. The boldest of the four — impossible to miss, even in the dark.
Moon White MOON WHITE
A soft, warm white — the closest of the four to real jade. Quiet, versatile and endlessly wearable; the safe pick for every player.
Onyx Black ONYX
A glassy, deep black with light flowing across the curves. Understated and composed — for those who prefer luxury you can't quite see.
Indigo INDIGO
A deep cobalt blue traced with a single white curve — stillness in motion, and the most designed of the four.

07 · FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the ceramic shell really fragile?
To be precise: it's scratch-proof, not drop-proof. Normal fidget play has no effect on feel or structural strength — but a fall from desk height onto concrete or tile, or a hard knock, may chip, crack or shatter it. That's the physics of ceramic; please handle it with care.
Ceramic or metal — which shell should I choose?
Metal shells are tough and forgiving for rough carry; ceramic shells offer lasting gloss, a warm touch and color that never fades, for refined play. In one line: pick metal for durability, ceramic for beauty that lasts.
Does it work with other 01EDC cores?
Yes. 01EDC sliders use a two-piece core + shell design, and cores across the series are interchangeable. Please note: this listing includes the shell only — a core must be purchased separately.
Does it show fingerprints? How do I clean it?
The ceramic surface is dense and non-porous — it doesn't absorb sweat or grime. Wipe fingerprints away with a slightly damp soft cloth and dry; no polish or protectant needed.
Metal shells age. Ceramic glaze doesn't.
Pick a color, and start carrying.
